From the majority of media stories we receive in NZ (and indeed apparently in the US) you would think Harris was ahead of Trump by 20 points.
Absorb the following conversation between former Republican candidate Larry Elder and Megyn Kelly and realise what we are being fed by a clearly biased media. The US election will be decided in a handful of states. It doesn't matter by how much Harris wins in California or the Eastern seaboard states. The comparison with Democrat contesting of previous elections while slamming Trump for doing the same is also interesting.

Valid comments.
93 % of US registered media individuals are left.
Trump has challenged left media head on and called out their BS.
Americans want a change. The polls are reflecting this.
Bring on the debate.

Oh the irony! You portray a biased media and then use Megan Kelly as your source and all her interview is about is just looking at 'positives' for Trump.
You couldn't script this stuff.
Where the hell do you get 20% from? That's your delusion that you just made up.

No that's not correct at all. 7% of journalists identify as Republicans, 36% as Democrats, it doesn't mean that the rest are lefties.
There will be some journalists, like has been found in other polls, that are too embarrassed to identify as Republicans, particularly since the beginning of the Trump era.
It is true though that on average the media is more left than right, that's because many media people have an arts background, perhaps writing or performing and the arts is traditionally the domain of the left, as like the average arts person they typically have compassion a wider more holistic perspective and don't live life just by dollars and cents or survival of the fittest mentality.
Journalists are also more educated than the general public on average.
That's another reason why there is a higher percentage of lefties within the media as they are generally more intelligent.

What a load of excrement. Journalists more highly educated? Don't make me laugh. And definitely not more intelligent.

Massive pile of excrement to be exact. The word "educated" has a far deeper meaning these days. Other more appropriate words also come to mind.

Leaving aside the question of intelligence -would you concede that the proportion of journalists with degrees is higher than the proportion of the general population?

I knew that would get a reaction.
I also know that neither of you give much respect for experts or qualifications and rely on the likes of Joe Rogan or Trump for their shoot from the hip remarks for your knowledge, but I refer you to the US study performed in 2022 on the demographic traits of journalists.
Perhaps that you don't agree with this is pertinent to your outlook on most things factually based.
Yep that local yokel knows better as its not happened in his backyard, or I know someone that said... Probably their cousin who also happens to be their sister inlaw.
You can't make this stuff up, but thanks both for participating,

So when you say factual based and "expert" you mean someone like Jacinda Ardern.
