Default Buying funds/individual shares in spouses name

I'm in the 33% tax bracket. My wife is due to give birth in several months time and will be in/out of maternity leave for the next several years as we plan to have two children. We have share funds in our joint names.

Would it be best to put these into my wifes name only (plus any other deposits or individual share purchases) to be in a lower tax bracket?

Not quite that easy. By doing that you also change structure of ownership that could cause a few issues that you wouldn't have with current ownership. I.e. If your wife does a runner or dies. Have a look at your income and whether or not you need it, you might find it won't make that much difference, otherwise you could target lower yielding companies. But look at all the pro's and con's first, and maybe take some advice from a professional.
