With all the vacant air-bandb properties, how do landlords find new tenants, when they are only able to go to the supermarket or pharmacy?

They can't, simple. Looking at Auckland AirBnB rentals for April dated after the lock down, the competition in CBD is purely on price, almost ALL of them are discounted hugely to attract tenants. Renters market and for them it will only get better.
