Will NATO decide to go north or go south?

The best defence is a good offense.

Maybe NATO should reconsider its plans of being only defensive and at least have plans for the worst case.. ie a hopefully swift offensive engagement.

I know whom I would trust more.

I guess the big Trump card of Erdogan is that Turkey controls geographically the access to the Black sea - but otherwise? His country is as corrupt as Russia, he is morally corrupt as Putin ... he does not worry a bit about bombarding and killing innocent people (just call them Kurds and its ok for him to kill them), he wages a war against his own people and is a autocrat like any other. I certainly would not hope that any country I relate to will be at any stage dependant on Turkish help.

Kick him out of NATO. Problem solved.

The best hope for turkey would have been for that 2016 coup to succeed.

To add to that I was previously predicting that the yantar research ship placed explosives on internet cables which would have been a 4D chess masterstroke providing mafioso Putin with leverage over us.

Now given the incompetence we've seen lately it might have just been simple (and faulty) listening devices.

Each time, they have to cheat a little less to win. One supposes that's progress.
