BP in order for those idiots to invade Iceland they have to find it first. They seem to have a problem with turning on their radar systems. A Navy vessel of their fleet recently ran into a freighter in the baltic..

An analyst said the screens on their radar are barely useable for any length of time before the operator tunes out.

Basically he said the designs are old and out of date....
    Just chill.

    I didn't say that I expect them to be successful, didn't I?

On the other hand ... one can never underestimate the damage a rabid cornered dog can do ... and lets face it - while both both Putin as well as Xi are kindergarten bullies, they are as well low life dictators without any interest but themselves increasing power and building empires no matter the cost to humanity. Both of these low lifes have a big red button on their respective desks ... and well might use it if cornered.

While I don't know whether their nuclear options works better than the Russian missiles (failure rate depending on the batch apparantly between 10 and 60 percent) - it is still not clear whether we need to worry about who owns Iceland (or any other country) at the end of the day if this option plays out ... and it probably is not relevant in this context whether the Russian tyres are pumped up either.

Not saying this is a reason to concede, but we better have a plan and some capable politicians on our side. Do we?

Question is whether anything worthwhile protecting will be left in the UKE by the time the system is delivered ...

Actually - stationing a handful of NATO nuclear missiles into the Ukraine plus sending a NATO flotilla into the Black Sea to protect the Ukraine port(s) and the way out to the mediterrenean might be faster and much more effective.

BP would turkey allow any Naval traffic into the black seas at the moment. Turkey maybe just milking the situation from all sides.

The frozen brains in the east will be running low on stuff as they moving old T64's out of storage and on to the battlefield.

European defence firm has mounted a new 2 man turret on old leopard ones.

Good question. Clearly - Erdoban is made out of the same stuff as Putin - crooked, selfish, power hungry and evil. However - do you really think that he (as NATO member) would try to stop a NATO flotilla? I guess one could not think about a better opportunity for the West to remove Turkey out of the NATO, which would significantly improve NATO's shared values ....

Have a look at the map - I think NATO would be anyway better off with Turkey out and UKE plus Scandinavia in ... and that's not just looking at geography. Just remove Turkey and support the Kurds ... and the near East will keep looking after itself.

    Yes BP good points indeed.

Turkey still has elections to come and the currency is on a one way trip to nothing much in a hand basket.

The UKE's have some very good small tech firms for example their new Drone immobiliser guns and other devices.

Their tech knowledge is what seems to be impressing NATO to transfer technology weapons in large and larger numbers.

We are looking to move some tech on to the new linux secure drone API OS systems.

Just how far things spiral out of control when missiles start flying into crowded malls and fuses start to burn in the minds of the defenders.

    Deep in the danger zone.

How long before they ask for longer range missiles to hit those long supply lines.

US cant say no to Air defence and new fighter platforms now.

The game just heated up over night....

The UKE's will want revenge ..

    No peace this year ...

Sometimes it's the simple things, 3CI, from NYT...

    Communication breakdowns

While the Ukrainian government has been pleading with Western allies to send more high-tech weapons to compete with Russia’s superior firepower, its troops are lacking something much more basic but just as important — reliable communication tools.
In interviews with Times reporters, nearly two dozen soldiers on the front lines described major problems: Russians constantly jammed their radios; they didn’t have enough communication gear; and they often had difficulty getting through to a commander to call for artillery support.
Talking to units stationed nearby was also an issue and would sometimes lead to friendly fire, my colleagues Thomas Gibbons-Neff and Natalia Yermak report from Sloviansk, in the east.
Frontline Ukrainian troops are often unable to communicate with the artillery units supporting them with howitzers and rocket launchers. Those artillery units often rely on their own drones and U.S.-supplied intelligence.
This disconnect has left soldiers on the front lines increasingly on their own, leading to deadly results. Officials estimate there are up to 200 casualties a day.
The most reliable tool the Ukrainians have received, though in small quantities, has been Starlink satellite internet, enabled by a small antenna that can be connected to act much like any Wi-Fi network. So far, the Russians have not been able to jam the antennas.
Ukrainian troops in more specialized units have been issued U.S.-supplied encrypted radios and can speak to one another unhindered, one soldier said, but the radio’s high output has meant that the Russians can find the locations the troops are broadcasting from.
