Hopefully AUS and NZ will now see the direct threat that China is invading the south pacific using money as a lever to effectively take over these small nation states from within.

AUS and NZ need to act together to stop China before its to late.

Norfolk island is very strategically located and could be an ideal location for an NZ defence force with anti ship and other missile capabilities.

Certainly perfect for radar station and would think AUS would want it..

NZ doesnt have the budget to go big enough or have the aircraft to supply it fast enough.

One of the most important rules of the roadcode is to drive only as fast to still be able to stop within the distance you can oversee (actually - on a normal bi-directional road it is just half the distance you can oversee).

It appears they don't teach this rule in the US navy ...

If by "act", it might at some point mean intervening militarily, (on a temporary basis) if China's strategic intentions become any more blindingly obvious...
At the minimum, it might mean inviting them to be jointly governed with New Zealand & Australian governance oversight, for the smaller 'nations' in any event.
This could be seriously putting NZ and Australia directly at risk...

Reminds me of the Erebus / Air NZ disaster. Rate of mountain / sea-mount climb, too high to see / sonar view in time, running at high speed...
