    Is this long enough?

    "MBIE proposes imposing a minimum stockholding obligation on fuel wholesalers of 28 days of fuel cover for diesel, and 24 days for petrol and jet fuel to deal with a prolonged and severe fuel import disruption (say, because of extreme weather, a global pandemic, or geopolitical conflicts). This is the same as that proposed in Australia"

    I thought it was 90 days in total, but only 30 of those days had to be onshore - the other 60 days could be on the water or allocated within (offshore) refining capacity.

    I'm sure someone will correct me.

    Out of idle curiosity, is there a "strategic coal reserve" for Huntley and Fonterra?

    I understand we have plenty of coal onshore ... we ony need to keep digging ;

    Maybe time to buy Bathurst (BRL.ASX) shares?

    Ah, but have you factored in the time required for Resource Consents, the inevitable Appeals, the ensuing Reviews, and the final Judicial Reviews?

    If you need the coal by the end of next week, due to transport problems between Indonesia and Huntly. . .

    LOL - I see where you are coming from

    ... but on the other hand demonstrated our government just recently that it is for them no problem to unhinge the resource consent process quite fast and efficiently ... just look at how they castrated the planning process and ownership rights in towns.
