    Hi Tomtom

There were a couple of us who picked the worst performers from last year. I'm not 100% familiar with the technique but you have the gist of it right. There are times when the dogs from one year on the Dow Jones are significant out-performers in the next year. I'm not familiar with any pre-requisites or filters for improving the odds, which there may or may not be and/or if the axe drops quickly in the US on the relevant executives. The sample of two in one half year is not enough to draw any meaningful conclusions - I'm glad I didn't try to copy that strategy in my actual portfolio.

The 'proper' 'Dogs of the Dow' strategy is taking the highest yielding stocks on the Dow

Supposedly because they are the highest yielding there are seen as undervalued .... and as they pay divies they are making money so not real dogs like BLT, PEB, PXi etc etc etc

There's couple of manual adjustments I have to do, but I was just a bit lazy. I'll most likely redo it all at once when DGL delists.

    Hi All,

0.5% OCR raise with outlook close to 4% in 2023. Recession coming? Suprise DGL delisting, NZX getting smaller every week...

Thanks Peetter .. think some may have read one of the recent rags which suggested 7%
I think much widespread pain if interest rates reach those levels for ones on the paying end
    especially recent borrowers

Wow...the game of who can lose the least continues. Only one of more than 250 in the black is Crackity.
