This is what Labour’s pro gang and pro criminals policies are bringing to NZ - wanton violence on innocent members of the public.

$3m more to make gangs even more effective drug pushers and criminals?

That article itself was quite sickening too. Glorifying the gang and not really mentioning much about the victim. No need for the Herald to tell us that the Black Power saying is "Yoza".

The owner of the shop told the Herald four teenagers aged about 15 or 16 smashed through the wire and Perspex of the counter.

Thief steals pensioner's cash from his veggie stall and scarpers

A farmer’s market produce seller says he will be feeling the pinch after a thief took off with most of his earnings in a brazen snatch-and-grab.

The 73-year-old said he had been driving down from the Wairarapa to attend the Wellington Farmer’s Market for three years. Selling his organic produce and homemade cashew cheese, he had built up a regular customer base, and the other produce sellers at the market were like “a family”.

He said he had never experienced this kind of theft before.

“I feel [it is] an unfortunate reflection on the state of society today and the apparent freedom for people to commit crimes without fear of sanction. I hate admitting it but I am a pensioner and the loss of money definitely hurts.”

Guns and almost $500k of methamphetamine found in Christchurch drugs bust

Two people have been arrested and nearly half a million dollars worth of drugs seized in an armed police raid in Christchurch.

Two firearms – a pistol and a rifle – and a large amount of cash – were also lifted by police during the raid.

The armed offenders squad searched a Lyndhurst Cres property in Aranui on Saturday night, where officers uncovered over a kilogram of methamphetamine and two firearms.

Detective Inspector Scott Anderson said the 1.2kg of methamphetamine had an estimated street value of $400,000 to $450,000.

Perhaps these poor disadvantaged fellows need some more Govt massaging to help them out of their current
business habits into new ones ? Nothing that a few more Labour annointed millions couldn't fix

Police hunt set for bail ‘absconding’ Mongols associate arrested in $5.9m Remuera mansion with firearms, warrant to be issued

A warrant for the arrest of a 32-year-old Mongols gang associate will be issued later today for failing to turn up to a sentencing hearing, after being found in a $5.9m Remuera mansion with an assortment of high-powered firearms and ammunition.

The gang associate was due for sentencing at 10am today in Auckland District Court after being convicted of two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a restricted magazine.

However, the court heard that the gang member’s lawyer, Bridget Lawler, did not know where her client was this morning, despite having messaged them several times.

Judge Debra Bell issued a warrant for the arrest of the gang associate that would take effect at 5pm today. Bell said she wanted to make sure the gang associate was fully aware they were due to appear in court today for sentencing before the warrant took effect.

The Mongols gang associate was found in September 2022 inside a mansion on Shore Rd in the affluent Auckland suburb of Remuera where police found an AR-15 firearm, a rifle, and a shotgun, along with various quantities of ammunition.

Poor disadvantaged gang member & Labour friend now run away ?

While not a crime begging for $, it does show the state of NZ on those that have slipped through the cracks. Substance abuse, family issues, not going to school, a quick leeway to the path of living on the street

So, after reading that Herald report, it must be assumed Judge Greig earned his Black Power patched jacket.
The victims only "offence" was to wear a red jersey...

Bumper sentence discounts for bullies using hardship excuses for bashing a defenseless man.

    Yeah right.

    Yeah right.
Remember that this Labour government promoted the premise, and continues to push the narrative, that criminals are also victims - victims of society, especially the community of ugly, racist, colonial minded and prejudiced entitled pakeha. Hence criminals should be pitied and given a lot of aroha rather than punishment to reform their ways.

Did you know that there was a proposal under consideration to automatically reduce prison sentences for criminals (including substituting home detention for jail sentences) if they are Maoris before the fear of publicity caused this woke government to scrap it last year?
