Just use the excuse "It's my husband's business" ... worked well for Judith.

BS - garbage as usual from you.

Judith admitted attending a dinner in China hosted by Oravida where her husband was a director. It certainly helped Oravida exported more dairy products to China.

Compare and contrast that with Tana involvement in migrant/worker exploitation, tax evasion, beaching Covid rules and lying to her fellow MPs.

More colour on Tana’s despicable behaviour - and still lying and crying innocence about her role.

…. Christian and Darleen are both so narcissistic and good liars they can get people to believe just about anything.”

The Greens have an easy out if they want it.
They could say Waka jumping doesn't apply if just an agreement on policy or personality but can and should be used if it's more sinister or criminal behaviour is involved.

Personally I think any list MP should lose their position automatically when they are no longer party of the party that appointed them.

Electorate MPs is a different story as the electorate specifically voted them in.

Hypocrisy from Swarbrick on full display - what happened to their championing of migrants' & workers' rights?

Swarbrick said “our preference as Co-Leaders has always been for full transparency and the release of the report, but we also recognize the need to follow good practice around privacy law.” The Party has contacted all parties named in the Executive Summary of the report regarding their privacy interests, with the intention of releasing the summary as soon as practicably possible.

Responding to a Green Party announcement that Darleen Tana has been asked to resign, Taxpayers’ Union Policy and Public Affairs Manager, James Ross, said: “Public funds were used to pay for the report, and so the public have a right to see what’s in it. It’s as simple as that.

“Taxpayers have also been on the hook for Tana’s salary to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars as this investigation dragged on for month after month. The public need to know why the facts took so long to dig up, so taxpayers’ money won’t be wasted like this again.

“Ms Swarbrick claims the Greens punch well above their weight in holding the powerful to account. Now’s their chance to put their money where their mouth is and let the public hold them accountable.”

Hope Tana stays on in Parliament and extract maximum collateral damage on the Greens, especially the two hypocrites Davidson & Swarbrick.

How delicious to think of that as a possibility!

“She refused to say if the party would look to invoke the waka jumping provision to try and force Tana from Parliament. Instead, she issued a plea to Tana: “Please resign to minimise the collateral damage”.

If Tana chooses to try and stay in Parliament, Swarbrick said the party would meet to decide whether to invoke the waka jumping law and expel her.”

    But wait, there’s more :

“The Greens are kind of snookered here, because they have vociferously opposed the waka- jumping legislation at every set.

For them to suddenly invoke the legislation would be hypocritical and require them to swallow a very large vegan rat…oh wait! They are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Of course she could always resort to the standard left-wing excuse for appalling behaviour: previously un-diagnosed mental health issues.”

Tana may as well stay as an MP until the next election. If se resigns, we just get the next idiot on the greens list. At least with Tana, we know (via Cloe) that she is a liar. Who knows what undesirable traits the next on the greens list will have?
