It's the sheer hypocrisy of yet another leftist entitled Green politician that rules only apply to others, not to them when they are in power.

This is what she said :

“I’m entitled to a private life. I’m entitled to have a little fun with my mates and there are some people who take issue with that,” she said." "Whanau has said she has no regrets about that Friday night."

But when she was challenged about being tipsy (call it drunk and having had too much to drink already), she was perfectly happy to let the restaurant know who she was - the big freaking mayor - and they better let her have more alcohol! It's not private anymore when she wants to use her office to demand her own way.

The bars better be well stocked if Anna Lorck and Tory decide to have a night out together.

Isnt its the bars/waiters responsibility to present the person who patronised the restaurant with the bill before they left, thats always happened to me so how come in Wellington that isnt the case ?
Not a very good way to run a business imho.

It's a very (good) busy restaurant and all of the tables inside are behind the front counter so you pay on your way out. There are tables out front where the mayor was sitting so there's an honesty policy if you sit outside to come in and pay your bill.

Obviously you have never been to the very popular Asian restaurants in Auckland where patrons go to the counter to pay their bills after they have finished dining.

There's no question of the restaurant presenting you with a bill as it's considered rude and uncouth to do so.

Yes, obviously Tory has been to those restaurants, and learnt it's rude and uncouth of anyone to present her with a bill!
