    Default MIKOH CORP (MIK)

Has had a nice run lately,....almost doubled at one point since a placement at 3.8 cents.

I have been in and out of this stock a couple times over the last few years...basically promised alot and delivered nothing...no longer currently hold it.

However, new CEO, restructured board, some working capital to play with...some good growth strategies in place....but still no real results to speak of.

I am unsure whats been driving the recent interest in this stock....anyone know/ideas/ can enlighten me? - Does the market consider the new management team to be more credible and able to deliver on their promises where previous management have failed or is there something else?

to be honest, am yet to be convinced.....sounds like more promises amongst lots of pretty presentation...lacks significant detail and numbers.. heard similar kind of promises before that have always resulted in zilch...

THis is a perfect example of a what a new young, energetic MD (Matthew Blomfeild) can do to revitalise a company.... the SP is up 150% from start of the year ( 4c to 10 c)...

this guy respects and appreciates shareholders and communicates through numerous shareholder newsletters and this just announced information evening:

"As Managing Director I believe it is incumbent upon me to present to you an up-todate perspective on the company and its positioning in the various target markets, and I am therefore delighted to invite you to an Information Session that MIKOH will be holding in Sydney on Wednesday June 14th.
My purpose in hosting this is to inform you on what we see as an exciting period of growth ahead for MIKOH. I will be attending in person together with a number of industry specialists.
This session will commence at 4:30pm and is expected to take approximately one and a half hours. It will be followed by drinks and canapés where you will have the opportunity to meet and talk to MIKOH’s management team. "

now....he just needs to make the company profitable!!!

interesting question raised by Dofus on HC....why is a u.s. entreprenuer of the year bothering to fly all the way from the states to attend a tiny Australian company's shareholder update???....maybe to accept a board appointment perhaps???

    Copy of post from HC:
    -----------------------------------
I note with extreme enthusasm that the shareholder invitation just sent for the upcoming meeting on June 14 states that a Mr Richard Holcomb is flying out to attend.
A quick google search has shown me that this man was awarded the U.S. Business leader Top Gun Entrepenuer of the year in 1996. He is apparantly widely respected as a software industry leader and visionary whom has actively invested in technology companies and been ceo and board member for many large U.S. companies.
My question is why is he bothering to fly all the way from the states to attend a tiny Australian companies shareholder update ? It does not make sense unless like I have always believed this little company is slipping underneath everyones radar with its global technology.
I get the feeling that the 10c you mention is just the beginning. At least I hope so.
I note that there last report stated that a new board member will be added soon. Perhaps I am just misreading but I am starting to get very excited. I am hoping the long awaited growth for Mikoh is almost here.

Still holding MIK? Tempted to get in now, great news.
Will it need to raise capital again though? Worried about insider trading (?) looking at the price movement prior to announcement too...

MIKOH Secures First Order in Global Electronic Vehicle Registration Market
    13 October 2006

MIKOH is pleased to announce that it has received the first Electronic Vehicle Registration (EVR) order for its Smart&Secure radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. Under the order, for a small country with around 35,000 vehicles, MIKOH will supply RFID vehicle tags for use in a country-wide EVR system.

This order is a milestone for the Company following nearly 5 years of investment in this emerging multi-billion dollar market. It confirms the commitment to this application of the system supplier, which is a US multi-national company with substantial global operations. Expectations are that other countries with significantly larger vehicle populations will follow suit.

EVR is a global RFID application that is being actively promoted in the USA and other major markets around the world. With approximately 240 million motor vehicles in the USA alone, and an estimated 600 million worldwide, EVR presents a substantial opportunity for MIKOH, which has first mover advantage with its patented Smart&Secure technology.

In this EVR application a Smart&Secure tag will be applied to the windscreen of every registered vehicle in the country. The tag will allow the registration status of the vehicle to be monitored remotely as the vehicle passes a reader at normal driving speed. Readers can be mounted at toll gates or over any section of roadway. Fines and compliance notices can be issued for unregistered or out-of-compliance vehicles, allowing the government to recover lost revenue while also helping to maintain vehicle safety standards. Registration non-compliance in the USA has been estimated at between 5% and 15% (varying state by state), and can be significantly higher in other countries.
