Duncan-we are at cross purposes.You are talking about a business operating profit which of course I understand is taxable. I am referring to capital gains.
Interesting article in the Herald today-Mary Holm-which highlights the point that I was trying to make in my previous posts re tax on capital gains.
Why not simply make legislation preventing paper profits on equity being used as a deposit on an investment property?
