hi yogi, what happened with your prediction?26/2-10/3/10.?you may be out by a few months given the current intrigue and undisclosed dealings between ctp,rog and pxa.ctp currently in voluntary suspension for capital raising.if the rumours are correct,at 7.5c per share, yet the market awaits a ctp ann.a total nonsense.i suspect there is a lot more happening behind the scenes,so much for an informed market.cheers pago

hi,ctp is about to start its drilling second stage.first up is ooraminna 2 next week.followed by two and more prospects, theres been a lot of huge upside spec on these targets so the moment of truth is finally ,at last, soon.worth a look at www.centralpetroleum.com.au. ctp seems to have formed a base in its share price but with the current global market turmoil its dyor and caveat emptor.shame ,if the markets were stable?cheers pago

    Anyone here following CTP?
Has sprouted over the last week. Must be Spring in the air.

Looks like it peaked on Wednesday though. A few gaps to fill by the looks of it

    Hi Strat,

I got into this one back in july .08. when I first started investing. I was only playing with $5 - $10k amounts then. I've built it up to a more substantial holding at an av. of A$0.09.
This one is a real spec. investment in my mind. Some people on HC are expecting fantastic gains in the short term but IMO they are dreaming. IF CTP can find & monetise some oil sufficient to enable them to keep drilling for the future then there is a real possibilty of them finding commercial resources which would result in the SP rising significantly over the next 2 years. But with a billion shares ........

    Bottom drawer stuff.

    cheers

    Hi NoVice.
I am led to believe CTP have some good dirt. What they make of it only time will tell. I see Pago rates this one better than just a spec. Personally I never put anything in the bottom drawer, least of all anything I buy that I consider a spec ( which is most of what I hold at times )

1/4 of the shares on issue have changed hands over the last week. Somethings happening.

Must be nice to be near to getting your money back after riding it down over the last year.

    Hi Strat,

It is good to be looking like heading into positive territory with the SP - especially since I originally entered @ A$0.25.

I probably didn't express my sentiments well in the previous posts. Now that JH is concentrationg on the Amadeus instead of the Perdika I think we'll see some postive gains in the medium future. IMO there is a possibility of an 'elephant" oil discovery there, more likely a discovery of smaller traps & an even more likely discovery of a tight play. The main requirement is generating cashflow to keep drilling to discover these bigger discoveries as I believe it will take time & many drills to find them.
Once a decent cashflow is in place the opportunites are immense - oil, coal, helium , gas, minerals ( I believe CTP have mineral rights over most of their tenements) etc.
I picked CTP in the shareprice competition & as I said then - it is a sleeping giant - but it will take a year or 2 to really wake it up, hence the bottom drawer comment.

Some people are picking $1 - $8 / share in the near future - highly unlikely, (but not impossible) IMO

    cheers
