Yogi's probably right: now is the time to get set on BUY, that is if you are set on getting on it. There are a coupla things I would be checking out, though. One is their cash position (don't think its all that good), and secondly whether the 'junior oiler' rush will continue until they rig up and drill their prospects. If the current 'wildcat' trading pattern holds, you should see a run up in price as the drill approaches the target, plus extra upside if there are any hydrocarbon shows on the way down. Thus, at these stages, I'd be looking to lighten the load and be selling to cover possible losses if the hole comes up a duster. Of course, that means that if it is flush with oil then you've cut your profits, but you have to remember even at the very best of times the strike rate is no better than one in two, even if there are hydrocarbon shows on the way down.

IMHO, BUY is probably slightly overpriced at the moment - but that doesn't mean the price isn't going get any higher a little way down the track.

A lot of what I've written here is pretty basic trading stuff - better discussions of oil and gas co's can be found at Coaster's forums: www.fixx.co.nz. I'd also be looking out for any posts by Ian Whitchurch, among others, on the Aussie forums - though he seems to have hunkered down since Arwon come up a duster for some reason! Whitchurch has a good idea on oil and gas prospects, though I'm led to believe Yogi doubts his capabilities!

    Hi folks,

FWIW ..... BUY has just rattled the tin long enough,
to raise enough funds to cover the first two wells,
    at least.

    have a great weekend all

Thanks for the correction, Yogi. Probably looking better in the cash column then GOG at the moment, anyway!

Yeah they did a share placement to raise some cash for the upcoming drilling. The buy side has certainly picked up over the last week with now more than twice as many buyers than sellers wanting the shares. Small peak to 15c not long ago...may see this again...and hopefully more as the drills get closer.

..... not much to see really, snow.

Lower dotted blue Gann line is anchored on
05092003 = day of a high for BUY.

Likewise, the parallel blue dotted lines
above are anchored at lows in October 2002
    and May 2003 .....

Vertical lines are longer cycles and time scale includes
weekends and holidays ... ie using calendar days.

    happy days

    P.S. ..... holding BUY.
