Default Test your TA Skills (Basic)

A legit test of your TA skills... or just a lottery

    http://www.inspectd.com

Quite a cool concept.. would be much better if they had more indicators etc.

The advanced option is a little better as you can determine your hold time.

Really great fun...it would be good to get a standardised test and run a competition between our techies here. Is that possible?

    Default Control data...

Tested a "random" approach to aid comparison... using default settings and 20 consecutive trades using only the "buy" button. Did this 20 times (yes, I know, lots of button clicking...) and recorded final result each time. Then repeated exercise using only the "sell" button...

    Results for "buy" only:
    Max: $385,289
    Min: $ 25,649
No. positive outcomes: 8 of 20
    Average: $112,727
    Std dev: $91718

    Results for "sell" only:
    Max: $228,144
    Min: $ 38,269
No. positive outcomes: 10 of 20
    Average: $107,429
    Std dev: $55,459

(Not that the std dev helps much on this, since it's obviously a skewed distribution - probably something more useful, but my stats is rusty)

Anyway, interested in what results others get from 20 consecutive trades when they're trying... I managed to trounce the "random" approach by reducing my account to just $8,000...not just once, but twice!! Probably should have a serious attempt when I'm not talking on the phone and checking homework at the same time though. Well, once my clicking finger has recovered...

In the post above you, it appears that Ratkin can't...
