dividend yield looks miserably light too ..

and then there may not be imputation credits, so 33% gets swiped out by the taxman before the cash div lands ..

Not worth holding ...terrible .... if anyone wants to do an off market trade at 45 cents we can help...More locks downs coming for AUS and canada and all those shops closed.

Not to mention they are all sitting ducks for quick back up the truck into the shop and take off with a girls best friend.

From the TRA thread and discussion re Michael Hill Shoes rawz said 'Wow didn't know! Funny how that article says the jewellery business in NZ was starting to level off back then in 1993'

Don't have 1993 financials but in 2000 Michael Hill sales in NZ were $63m .... 20 years on $106m .... grown at 2.5% pa ....could say volume leveled off and inflation kept sales revenue increasing (actually beat inflation of 2,2% pa)

Big change in demographic since then as the local dont buy bling but the immigrants do.

Lots of Mercedes and BMW owners are the immigrants and you need some bling to go with it.

Lots more immigrants lining up to get in and the list will just get longer and longer.

Guess it goes to show how quickly a business can cover NZ.

Still heaps of growth left in Canada and lots in Aus.

Wonder what's next after MHJ conquer Canada and Aus. USA again? Or Europe. Or stay as is and just become a dividend stock.
