Default ChCh National Convention - February 21st 2009 at 4pm

Oiler, Shrewd and myself have been chatting, and we're suggesting taking the meeting back to The Stock Exchange where it all began.

    Saturday 22nd November at 4.00pm.

We've got a hard core bunch of 8-9 from the monthly meetings, and Oiler has confirmed that he'll be coming down as well.

We look forward to seeing many others there as well.

Come on Shasta....... we can help you celebrate your birthday in CHC. Maybe we can get Lizard and Lakeys to come down for the meeting.

What can be better than a November night in Christchurch ........

I look forward to a big Xmas party in Christchurch.

Auckland had a very big jump in attendees this time even without Macdunk so I would expect CHC to be a bigger success.

I didn't attend the first meeting, held at the stock exchange, so I must try to make it this time. One can always make a night of it by moving on to more salubrious places, and debauch oneself completely. Nothing like a night in the big city to blow away the cobwebs of suburban neurosis.

In the present climate I have taken the opportunity to buy some OEL, who have some "Elephant" permits that they might drill next year, now that they have cash coming in from the Galoc field. Any more drastic dips and I will be tempted to increase my stake in Bow Wow wow but circumspection is required at present. Who knows where the bottom is?

That would be good Slam. I think Shrewd is going to get in touch with the owners too, but can't hurt to double up when it comes to the complimentaries.

That's a reference to the Jessie Ryder incident, Mystery.

Earlier in the year he punched out a window at the stock Exchange and came off second best. He couldn't tour with the NZ cricket team because of his injured hand so he was very contrite after that.

Similar thing happened to Norm Hewitt the All Black, but in Norm's case he took out the whole door.
Our lot are too civilized for that sort of thing..... I think?
