Dumb questions

Hi guys I'm going to ask some really stupid questions.

I am new to forex,I thought forex markets traded 24 hours,if that is the case is it region by region as normal business hours start and finish?
The reason I ask is that the demo I am trying at fxcm stopped trading at 4pm New York time,this implies that I can only trade with them in their business hours(dumb aye haha)
I would be greatful if someone could shed some light on this for a newbie.

Also is it difficult to open an account in $us for a kiwi?

Not really. You just ask the bank to convert it before you wire the funds.

You could also check if they accept accounts in other currencies.
e.g. AUD or NZD if you prefer that

GBP JPY They dont call it the ninja for nothing .
shorter time frames will increase the volatility as this cross has big moves.

EUR/JPY if you want to play a fast one roughly double the pips of say USD/JPY for each move,can do nasty spikes that stop you out though so not for the faint of heart.
