Given that 90% of the world's population will be dead over the next few weeks from an airborne virus - I think that global warming has pretty much been solved?

Exactly. If it is anthropological, eliminating a few billion humans will solve the problem. Dump any shares you have with a life insurance provider.

Disaster capitalists will be having a busy year - Brexit - Global Warming - Epidemic - Panic -Conflagration.

The Antarctic reaches almost 21c. Hottest since records have been kept. How long until sun seekers vacation there for their 24 hour of sun baking per day beach holidays?

It's the Fukushima nuclear disaster radiating and heating up the oceans...100 times worse than Chernobyl and quietly washed away to the sea for billions of years... down the line it has to be an extinction level event...
No one is holding anyone accountable for this disaster and the magnitutide of it and what is happen to this day and everyday on....
The International energy agency, Greenpeace, governments and even the media... no one is covering the worst and ongoing disaster times 100 in the history of humans

I wouldn't get too carried away about previous records. 1880 until now is less than the blink of an eye. There are conflicting opinions on the cause of global warming, specifically whether or not it is naturally cyclical or is it anthropological? I don't know, but I sure as hell know that the very short term records available (140 years out of 4.5 billion) tell us nothing at all.

I guess time will tell but time is important here... once its too late its too late ... i guess we wont be able to solve it because the big corporations just lobby the governments for whatever they want...
So of course global warming is going to be played down corporations fund the media to report what they need reported... you watch the mainstream news and your opinions are already moulded and shaped just how they want you to think...
They want you to think that everything is ok and fine but its not...
How can you think the numbers coming out are just cyclical...
If you think global warming is of no concern you are seriously messed up in the head...
The last 140 years tell us heaps...
That we are destroying earth faster and faster than ever before...
    ...
Here in Christchurch its cold at night in the middle of summer its never been like this ever.. the weather events just get more and more insane...
    ....

You cannot possibly know that 'it's never been like this ever' as you claim.
I am reasonably sure it would have been cold at night in the middle of summer during an ice age.

Saw an article in an Israeli paper over the weekend. The Sea of Gallilea is at its highest level for decades. The authorities are considering spilling water into the Jordan which is great news for those down stream. The levels are doing good things for the local economy as well. Climate Change? Who knows? But you can guarantee the AWG lobby don't want to know about it. Can't have good weather related news stories.

Galillee had 5 years of drought. The lake is at the highest level in two years. Hardly a good news story yet, but true it is a relief for those affected. Let's hope it will last. Maybe what they have experienced is another symptom of more wild swings in global weather patterns?

The UK and Ireland have had their wettest February on record; Auckland its driest.

That article you link to is over 12 months old! The article I read is referring to now, not 12 months ago!

And from memory Auckland or Northland is the driest since the end of WW2. Not driest on record. Do we blame AWG for a drought in the 40's?

Had this image sent by a friend who is a Captain that's been working up in the Arctic for 20 years, saying solid/heavy ice is around the most he has ever seen up there for this time of year. All the claims about Arctic ice melting a dangerous levels are simply rubbish 91898138_2540058982767076_6153169971603046400_o.jpg

Your not wrong about that. That is pretty much an established fact now but you will not see any of that on the MSM. Good thing about this Covid is that all the climate alarmists are starting to see what a green new reality could look like. So great to see that coal mining is still one of NZ's essential services and that the farming sector is the one that is the backbone of this country.

With all due respect - one (and unconfirmed) data point does not make a trend.

How come the Northern Sea route (or Arctic oute) which never could be used before in human history is now open for container vessels?

    https://barentsobserver.com/en/arcti...ea-route-21-08

Certainly not evidence for more ice than ever before ...
