from past experience I can say it doesnt close as much as you might think it would. obviously the holy stats days are closed but the others often have some activity. spreads may be larger than usual and liquiidity is lower though how much that affects smaller players is questionable. I think the other point worth mentioning is that sometimes the market gets pushed around by bigger players leveraging their strength into that lack of liquidity - I see this as weakening the use of TA etc....
