Daytr seems to have missed it, but wait, he's a gold 'expert', right, with years of experience trading gold in Moscow, London, Tokyo, NY and Johannesburg.

It's 7 years all right, pretty messy and no end in sight. 1330 before this weekend, good luck with that one, more like 1280.
Just as I predicted a few days ago, here comes $1280, and lower.

Another reasonable move lower however double the volume was thrown at the market & they only got half the bang for their buck. Incredible amount of gold traded & if I was shorting gold last night I would be a little disappointed in not getting more out of it. The previous night caught the market on the hop & forced long liquidation, 'the perfect storm'. As we see by last night's action, it now gets tougher especially as we head toward $1275-80 area, as those trying to push gold lower run into technical based buying. I suspect similar to the longs just did, the shorts may well get exhausted even if they succeed breaking $1275, just as we saw when gold broke $1330. There will be a few licking their wounds as the move on Monday was very aggressive. I suspect there is now a reasonably large short position held by a few hands & if they are forced to cover we will see an almost equally aggressive move higher. This sort of plays into Hoops T.A. of a battle between bulls & bears that is being played out.

Thanks for the overview Datyr. Im looking forward to the day i can escape my Goldies(at a profit) after a keelhauling few years. Too much manipulation , complexity and noise for my investment style iv realised belatedly.

I actually hope we do have another big pull back as I would Ike another opportunity at some stage to load up again at the low levels we have seen previously. Might be selfish but hey that's what would suit me.

You topping up all the way to the bottom? Eventually you'll run out of money, if you haven't worked that out already.
