What are Trump’s plans for the dollar?
The Republican Party pledges to maintain the US dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency. Yet at the same time, the former president has said that the strong dollar is walloping US manufacturers, with buyers shying away from the relatively expensive products. That’s why his economic agenda includes a pledge to weaken the dollar, although it’s not clear how he plans to achieve that. After all, Deutsche Bank has estimated that the dollar would have to drop by as much as 40% to close the US trade deficit. And some of Trump’s proposed policies are expected to strengthen, not weaken, the dollar.

last month US added a record amount of debt ...add in the bigger picture $150T to $200T of unfunded liabilities not included in the $36T of debt...
October was the first month of US FY 2025, and the US Treasury just reported that spending was 44% debt-financed!
Also: $1.4 trillion of new issuance is expected over the next 6 months, along with $500 billion of weekly refinancings...
And TRUMP want to do major TAX cuts !! insane times

In short as these decisions lead on to other things, you cant keep spending money you haven't got ,but they do so now add 1 million a pop for these missiles to there already record debt .If the conflict goes even more pear shaped as the middle east is people tend to look for a safe haven and history right or wrong shows gold is that haven . Personally I would much rather a low POG and no wars . For now we are in the Trump honeymoon period .
