WOW...trading on hope and not much else at this stage. Share price seems to be factoring in a full scale recovery from late 2021. Good luck with that.

It looks like the new luge in Busan Korea is open as scheduled. KL Malaysia luge development should start soon. Will the UK developments be far behind?

The preliminary profit before tax for the year ended 31st March 2021 is $72.7m from continuing operations ($23.7m last year). New Korean Luge up and running, Malaysia soon to start building, UK luges may be back on. Things not looking too bad all things considering. Thanks to Beagle and Snoopy for alerting me to this near the bottom.

O'Connells has been taking forever to get renovated. Glad to hear almost there.

One shareholder not too impressed with his company -

Skyline shareholder John Hilhorst says he’s always been proud to be a shareholder of what he considers an iconic company in the district.

But he believes Skyline’s decision not to pay back its wage subsidy is “unbelievably obnoxious”

Skyline vote on repaying wage subsidy | Otago Daily Times Online News (odt.co.nz)

Skyline Enterprises shareholders will decide today whether to repay the $7.9million wage subsidy the company took last year.A motion was tabled last month by shareholders John Hilhorst and Cath Gilmour, who said it was a "moral question" for the Queenstown-headquartered company, which recorded a $56.7million profit after tax in the last financial year.
Shareholders will meet today for the company’s annual general meeting.
Skyline chairwoman Jan Hunt has written to shareholders saying the board of directors did not support the proposal.
The board is meeting in the resort at 3pm, but shareholders can only view the meeting by video conference.
One shareholder, who did not want to be named, said he had voted against the motion, as had every other shareholder he had spoken to.
"I think the motion has great intent, but it’s ill thought out."
However, he thought the vote could be split, depending on how the largest shareholders voted.
If the issue became a matter of debate at the meeting, he would support any proposal for at least half of the money to be distributed to community groups in Wakatipu, and the rest returned to the Government.
The board could also consider paying the money back in a year or two, depending on the company’s fortunes, he said.
The company also received $500,000 from the Government’s strategic tourism assets protection programme last August for its Queenstown luge operation.
It has received a total of $216,688 from last month’s wage subsidy.

It looks like the replacement of the gondola and related buildings will go ahead. The existing gondola is reaching the end of it's viable life, the building at the top needs earthquake strengthening and the car-park was mandated by the council.
To me, the car-park looks like it could be an expensive white elephant, it would be much cheaper to supply "free" shuttle buses.
NZ Ski has now discounted their bus to Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. Benefits are less traffic on the road, fewer issues with chain compliance and more capability to take skiers as it leave space in the car-parks. The user gets dropped at the base buildings and does not have the stress of driving up the road.

Never use a car when in Q/town, only the NZ Ski buses and at $15 return its a steal and no stress, if you do more than 14 days then the bus season pass at $199 is a no brainer, would be a loss leader for them at those prices for sure.
