That doesn't sound good at all !!
Unusually big trade of SFF today. Just under 165k shares at $ 1.00. We don't see many trades like that one but end of year normally sees a bit more activity.! Still a lot on offer at this price. Lets hope Trump doesn't slam a tariff on our beef exports to the USA any time soon !! That market has been the most positive for beef this year and tariffs are the last thing we need.

Not me,and currently I do not hold any SFF shares.Like Iceman I also fear the possible Trump's tariffs.
Also was not me who bought the 785,676 GFL Geneva Finance, which was the tail end of the 2.4mil sold over the past week or two.

The tariffs are an interesting one. Trump is not going to want to fuel inflation, increase the cost of living, increase the cost of food - and much of the beef NZ exports to the US is grinding beef destined to fast food chains etc. But then again, there will be a fair bit of Republican support from farming communities.
There is a small tariff currently, for volumes under 213,000 tons. I think if go over this, then pay a more penal tariff (26%).
I'm sure exporters will be shipping hard before Trump get the keys to the White House.....

Good news from the CEO today:
"This week we’ve celebrated a milestone in this space, with our first beef cattle processed with G.A.P. certification – that’s the certification required to supply into Whole Foods. They are a supermarket chain with over 500 stores in North America, and their customers are precisely the high-end, discerning consumers that we’re focusing on. Whole Foods has signed up to supply from Silver Fern Farms because they have seen our leadership position around Nature Positive, including the work that farmers are doing with NZFAP Plus. The effort for our pilot farmers to achieve G.A.P. certification in a short amount of time has been massive, so a big thanks to those dedicated farmers involved. I’d also like to shout out our own On-Farm Sustainability Team who have supported the process – this team have gone above and beyond to achieve a great result."
Also reporting strong upward pressure on beef prices out of Brazil, mainly into China and US prices nearing historically high levels.
