Default APA Group - gas is the future

This company share price has been on a steady upward slope for the past couple years. With the increasing demand for natural gas in Australia, it is likely that the upward trend will continue. Does anyone have anything contrary to say about this company?

Yep, There is some divergence of the MACD histogram on the on the 60 min chart.

A part from that, APA seems to be a like a slowly does it type of play that moves upwards at a gradual pace which also seems to test the 60ema every couple of months as well as testing the 180ema about twice a year which there is nothing wrong with that either.

The true price will be for those who are aware of its complete books and fundamental analysis.

    Thanks for those comments.
APA seems to be a well run company that ticks along and benefits form the increased demand for gas while not being subject to the price changes of the explorers.

This company is an excellent dividend play for those chasing better returns than bank rates.
It also seems to have a share price that slowly keeps climbing higher

    What a shafting!!
APA raises share capital by 14% ($78 mil shares) via an institutional book build at a discount of about 12%. Shareprice today drops (after raising)from $4.37 to $3.95 - a loss of 10% for non-institutional shareholders. Meanwhile institutions are sitting on a capital gain.
If this is the way they are going to fund acquisitions then there is no point in being a shareholder.
This sort of thing shouldn't be allowed.

Since my last post in may 2012 ;s/p re $4.85 ,now $7.94 but looking pretty tippy at this price with PE (according to ASB) of 19.34 and D/Y 4.56% net. Been a good solid performer for our conservative Estate portfolio. Well above 60 DMA. i saw a sell on the bull today, saying s/p overshot fair value s/p down 9c. Re 90 % of rev generated from regulatory controlled assets or long term contracts.
