Default transfering shares to another name

Parents have some shares that they want to give to me. What is the easiest way of doing this?

Also, I am using National Bank website for share trading. Not used it for a while and noticed that some shares are missing under the portfolio page (after some divies converted to shares). How do I get my FIN number and Investor number?

As far as I know, the only way to transfer shares is by Off Market Transfer, forms available for printing from Computershare/Link Market Services, and apparently each will accept the other's form.

You probably have to update your portfolio with National yourself when you log in. Any of the dividend advices you receive will have your investor number somewhere upper right.

FIN number, suggest you ring any broker and ask that question!

You will need to ring Computershare/Link to re-send your FIN number if you have misplaced it...
