    Default AJX - Textile nano-technology

    AJX is developing new nano-particle technology used to create flame retardant treatments for polyester and nylon material. It is being developed in conjunction with the US Military. It has just started production runs in the US (still not fully commercial, but is being used to validate product performance) and is in negotiation with European manufacturers. Market is military, emergency, and industrial work wear.

    Currently a $20m market cap, after its share price recently rocketed from 4c to 12c, but the future looks bright as it moves into commercialisation phase.

    Being a Chemical and a Materials Engineer, I am going to look over this over the coming days. Sounds like its a good technology, would be even more interested if it was an IPO (to bad I had not heard of it until now - been stuck in NZ for too long to look over the ditch)

    Will let you know my thoughts once I have done my research, but would be interested to see what someones take was on the financials? We looking at any capital raising in the near future? Could be a good entry point if so.

    I will do the financial analysis once I agree with the product, but some people here may do it the other way around!!

    Dej I think something similar is being used on synthetic carpets.

    Not many patents currently held by the company regarding there technology;

    To name a few... wonder how many patents are on the way given they are a company that "holds applications"

    Also, recent capital raising in July, have the shares been introduced to market yet? Looks like it was/will be a 10% dilution...

    And Possum do you have any more information about this? Seems to say that this is a nano-particle coating technology rather than just a flame retardant fabric.

    Dej going back a good many years so memory not good It was a building requirement in some places & insurance companies wanted to know about carpets. Some if my memory serves me correctly produced toxic fumes. I was residing in the Brisbane area at the time.

    However, it has been here before - share price fell from 20c in 2010 to 4c this year. They really need to get commercial orders flowing or otherwise there will be a repeat.
    When I say financials I mean an array of things! I note the most recent capital raising puts some cash in the bank, and we are also covered for cash for the foreseeable future (meaning next 12 months hopefully). Directors have options above current price, but expiry date of 2015, still an incentive. Direct has been buying! 6k worth Dilution I previously mentioned already been accounted for.

    Will place bid tomorrow, whats your buy in KW? approximately 11-12 Im thinking? Guessing I missed the boat a bit on that one, may see a dip to 12.5 though.

    And yes I realize this is a risky stock, but what I really like about this is the banning of certain chemicals in FR materials that they don't use, and also the relationship they have with probably the biggest purchaser of this sort of material in the world, the US Defence force. They get it right, we are in the money. Also IP protection in the barrel, as well as other products.

    Theres some quote out there about war and money, cant seem to remember it though. Strangely one of my old friends families made all their money making bullet during a war, and they still live off it now. Strange world.

    Washability is not something many people Think about, but this is a good milestone!!

    Nothing worse than washing your product once or twice and need to replace it.... May mean greater sales but less customers :-P
