    the current yield is one thing, but the SP usually ***** itself after and then some more
    as shown on the 2 year trendline patterns ..

    Why buy a dive ?

    These were 3.70 circa 2 years ago; 2.80 1 year ago and now 2.70 leading into
    the next spit out and accompanying possible dip

    Genesis shares were issued on17th April 2014 at $1.55 per share.
    Current dividend yield on issue price is 11.35%.
    As well as enjoying great dividends share holders have enjoyed at capital gain of 76.77% with current share price of $2.74. .

    9 years on, a Labour Govt Covid Kiwi Fiat devaluation of at least 50% along the way.. who is winning in real terms ?

    Well said. Been a great reliable dividend producer for long term holders and will continue to do so in the future.

    before Labour tried & likely succeeded in removing a slice of it in real spending power terms, with their efforts devaluing the local Fiat with the Covid Free Cash avalanches that devalued most things that didn't hold value ..

    Why didn't GNE go up correspondingly and stay up there ?

    You've got to be joking...right ? We just ended up transferring key NZ Taxpayer Funded Assets to many offshore owners.
    Gave them away as Percy noted at bargain basement prices to the benefit of the few in NZ who could buy them. (yes..I am fortunate enough to be one of them). The NZ Tax Payers Inc are the poorer for this.

    good report from genesis this morning
    made some good money in the quarter by the look of it. although oil sales down pricing was well up which offset's that to a degree
