In my opinion the biggest risk to Tesla is Trump being elected (ironic given Musk's politics). Tesla's most successful factory is based in China and there is non zero chance Trump could poison it.

Didn't see that coming. Trump is still a risk, but the cash reserve buffer is large enough to survive his presidency.

He claims he will remove pollution standards on cars in USA. Other car makers have paid Tesla over US$10 billion to offset their polluting cars. Trump also says he will remove the EV tax credit, repel the battery credits and stop States implementing their own car restrictions. He says he will ban autonomous driving (Tesla/Elon say without it they are nothing). Trump also hates on China (Tesla's profit centre), even more than Biden has. It is possible Musk has sided with Trump to try and moderate the mad in him.

this comment aged poorly…since you made it and trump got elected …. It’s “only” up 58%, clearly, he’s the worst thing to happen to this stock.

Even if it keeps dropping another 40% it’ll be up 18% month on month. This is still nuts.
