Three in a row for the Crusaders.
    Played excellent finals rugby.
What have we learnt from the semi final and final.?
Simple: a good goal kicker makes all the difference..In the final goal kicking kept the Jaguares on the back foot.
In the simi finals, two missed attempts by Wellington meant they lost. One missed and they would have been in the finals.
So if The All Blacks want to win tight games they need Richie as goal kicker.

Good on you Percy. You have my vote as chief selector.

Of course they do Percy. But I would rather see Beauden play the most part first and then Richie can have a go a bit later on.

It would certainly be ridiculous to leave BB out of play.

    Agreed.
Perhaps they both should be on the field at the same time,in semi finals and finals.
Swapping between full back and first five,.with Ben Smith on the wing.
All attemps at goal must be successful, whatever half.
Two attemps missed in the first half, alters the balance of any game.

Late on the 76th minute with the AB's still with ball when my streaming channel cut out. Spent another 2 or so mins looking for another stream only to see Pollard kicking for conversion and tied the game. Where/when did it go wrong?

Go to Prime. It's showing there with 1 hour delay.

Good kick in the pants for the ABs. First half terrible, couldn't put them away in the 2nd.

    Pollard missed one.
    Barrett missed two.
    Richie missed none.
    Why let Barrett loose games.?

Yeah , this game is a taster for whats to come. With any of 4 to 5 Countries that could win it, games will be tight low scoring and arguably defensive based. So one conversion or penalty (like today )will be the difference ,plus a little luck.

Hansen says the ABs played ‘dumb’

The players generally are only as ‘dumb’ as the coach

Footnote: since that Richie guy started at first five things seem to have gone backwards

Well and truly outplayed, and guess never know how much the red card would have made a difference.

If you say Beudy is the best 10 in the world, then he is playing 15. Then Ben Smith is playing 14. Go figure. That might just be dumb....

IMO a win on Saturday will plaster over some obvious cracks appearing in the ALL Black games.
Haven't really impressed in any gane so far this year.
Years and years of playing Super 12/15/18 are starting to catch up on some of the players.
Worse than the games themselves, its the constant training.

    About time too.!!
    The new boys were great.
Even Read played like a "spring chicken."
