An article in today's DomPost quoted Sydney Morning Herald sources as saying that Rugby Australia was to make cuts to it's staff which is over 200!
Does anyone have any idea what 200 people could possibly be doing in that "empire"?

Going along to the Crusaders vs Awkwards game this weekend..does feel like the end of an era in NZ rugby with Barrett shipping out just when Auckland looked like they are finally coming good. I do think a lot of NZ's best players are not playing well, perhaps its the end of an era in more ways than one.

    Great tussle.
Blues looked the better team.Very well organised.Their lineout was excellent.
In the end The Crusaders came from behind and ended up with a solid win.

That Richie guy is pretty good eh?

Always seem that Crusaders / Canterbury rugby teams have a greater desire to win than any other team.

It is a special culture and mentality, being there live the blues had them shut out for 60 mins across the park including off the ball, not many teams find a way from that point. They kept in touch yet did not have the momentum. To find a way from that point..something you do not see often in a team. The Blues were sharp and impressive.

I've got hurricanes beating auckland this week...
    ...
They are all super strong teams anyone if them would clean aussie up...
Heard about a possible rugby/ league hybrid game between all blacks and the kangaroos...
Hopefully something is in the works

    Should be a great game.
I think I would back Auckland,as they were very well organised against us.As RAZ pointed out they had us beat for 60 minutes.
Strong line out and scrum.Aggressive defence, and good tactical kicking.
As for the next time the two [Blues/Crusaders] teams meet.? Will be a cracker.

    Crusaders 32 ...Chiefs 19,
Not straight line outs. Big win to the The Chiefs who managed not to throw one straight...Lucky for them the ref was blind.Hopeless.
Good to see a big improvement in The Crusaders lineout.

Beaten 5 tries to 1 and Gatland moans on about the ref again

Gatland biggest whinger in sport these day

If it was football he’d be down the road

If Gatland was a rugby ball he'd be kicked into touch as has his All Black coaching aspirations have been.

These losses must affect Cane's reputation as a Captain.Who was the last All Black Captain to come from a losing Super team?

He does not look like an All Black captain to me.Never has.
Also a pity The All Blacks will not have the best available coach.

Well before the game I thought it would be good to see the Highlands win ,and then the Crusaders would have to play the Blues.
Two minutes into the game I changed my mind...lol.
Looked as though the Highlanders would win, however the Crusaders managed to stay in the game, and win well.
