I agree with you,but what a difference a good ref makes!!!!
During the week one ref apologised to Steve Hansen for having "a bad day at the office", Crockett should not have been yellow carded or penalised at scrum time.[I went to bed at half time],while another ref apologised to Todd Blackadder for getting the final penalty wrong ,when he wrongly penalised Richie, which cost Canterbury both the game and the championship!!!!.\
I really enjoyed the Canterbury Waikato game on Friday night.Good ref and only one scrum reset for the whole game.!
Yet I think "our Richie" needs a big kick up the backside for playing the ball while on the ground right in front of our goal posts.
Come up against good teams and bad discipline will cost us games.

Who do you reckon player of the match was in your opinion? Retallick was everywhere. Cruden was punching well above his weight.

Yes Retallick.like a great big wrecking ball!! Everywhere.
Cruden's reading of the game, his speed, his kicks, timing ,passing was the best I have seen him play.

Have to be Retallick, seemed to there all the time, don't remember another game where is was so "in your face"

Back to square 1 for our west cousins.

Are Argentina improving/improved another close game with SA - 2 in a row or are SA not that good this year, no disrespect to Argentina.

SA always raise their game against the All Blacks.!!! Always tough buggers to beat.
How about that Beauden Barrett try saving tackle, astonishing!

Yes you are right going with Brodie.Totally agree.
Just meant to say I was very pleasantly surprised by Beauden's tackle.
Off topic, but I think Dane Coles is getting better with every game he plays.

Yes Dane has matured this year I think, Kevin Mealamu was not too bad this week either, recently his throwing in at lineouts has been inconsistent at best while his general play has been Ok
Whose next inline after Kevin (he's 35) cannot think at present.

Boks v All Blacks, another great game of rugby to watch. Richie's try in the corner off that kick was just brilliant. Both teams played well I thought.

I thought the at least in the first half the kicking was a bit off, too long and or to nowhere in particular. Neither team gave in.

And to the very end Sir John said things are on the improve and they on the cusp of greatness ...or something like that

Poor Tana ....coaching the Blues seems to be a poisoned chalice. Hope he getting heaps and a dispensation from Tew that this wont be a career ending move.

One thing Tana will bring is Pacific Island Mana and as a lot of the Auckland team are Islanders he should be able to communicate his objectives and game plan to the squad and get the best out of them. I like Kirwin a lot, but I think he tried to reinvent the Hart or Henry corporate sort of model in the Blues that they had, but I don't think that would work with the Blues now. The Blues also need to pay far more respect to North Harbour and Northland. Northland should get at least one game a year and I'm sure they would get a better crowd than they do in Auckland!

Comments on the ABs squad anyone? A few lucky players I would say, but I suppose its a squad that they are looking forward to world cup selection and giving as many a chance as possible.
Hopefully you find my posts helpful, but in no way should they be construed as advice. Make your own decision.

On the cusp of greatness, that's the same line David Darling uses.

Hope they don't suffer the same fates.

Always interesting seeing lucky players being given a chance to step up.
I think they have earnt the chance.
Some of today's great players were at one time lucky players.
No.10 seems to be the difference between winning and loosing, and in tight games, conversions .
Milked scrum penalties must be turned into points.
The All Blacks may have to slow their game down, so a certain Welsh ref does not run out of puff.!
