Nobody said its pretty ... and yes, I was not comparing historical performance but market valuation ... as we all know, markets are sometimes right, but never wrong;
To be honest - both FBU and MPG (as well as STU) used to have their bad and their good times (cyclicals at its best - or would this be worst?) ... and I recon there is a reason for MPG being as low as it is today.
Can it go lower? Sure - it always can - but then it is just one of these dog of the NZX shares in my portfolio (next to FBU and STU - and as we know from the "dog of the .... - theory" - in average they will win ... until they are no dogs anymore;
interesting chart that Peter does it mean that the market hasn't rewarded FBU for being operationally / financially much better or that the market has yet to penalise MPG for being so useless ..... maybe a bit of both

Once all these houses have their roofs and walls on the windows need to go in ....and Metro will prosper ...like they did in the building boom of the 2000's

They way the numbers go for all three its like the houses get built without windows. Maybe the windows will get added next year or the year after?
I see director Angela Bull has resigned,and a recruitment for a replacement director has begun.
Perhaps a quick phone call to Peter Wells is called for.His phone number is on his latest substantial shareholder announcement.
OK new director Jenn Bestwick has good governance experience,however does not get my juices following and wanting to buy any shares.
Had Peter Wells joined the board I would have bought some MPG shares,as I think MPG really could benefit with his business acumen.
A missed "window of opportunity".
