The Phoenix fans must have been three sheets to the wind to take on Warrior's fans. Normally all they are good for is whipping their shirts around in circles above their heads whilst exposing their pale underbelly.
Pleased to hear it was just banter! 😅

Housing market on fire
Should be good for Oceania. Be interesting Suzanne says next week …hope she don’t use phrases like ‘green shoots’
From REINZ ……
. On the sales front, total properties sold nationally increased by 20.0% compared to October 2023. Sales for New Zealand, excluding Auckland, rose 22.7% year-on-year, with notable increases in Nelson (+112.8%) and Marlborough (+29.5%).

You love a good seasonal adjustment though don't you Winner?
"First, although the actual sales numbers were up on September, the seasonally adjusted sales figure was down 2.6% for the month. One possible reason for that may have been that there were five Saturdays in October this year but only four in October last year, which could have affected sales patterns."

Nevertheless, sales still booming compared to were they were. Looking forward to next weeks update.

Talking about seasons. Surely SailorRob has sailed around the world by now and seen our his Sharetrader suspension.
I can't work out what's really going on down at OCA without his input.

Don’t overlook the October sales number will be adjusted upwards (late returns) so the 20% will be a bit higher

Well he could create a good story of what he thought was going on.
Typically, it would include the same activity with several different descriptions that all offered upside.
Is that called the multiplier effect???
Might be a three strike rule, banned for life, there have been a few of those. Skoll from memory suffered the same fate.
Hopefully you find my posts helpful, but in no way should they be construed as advice. Make your own decision.

Interesting article in The Australian yesterday regarding possible "deals" in the retirement sector, with EQT, purchaser of Metlifecare in 2020 for $1.3b having hired Macquarie Capital to find a buyer for at least a 25% stake. The article noted Stonepeak's current purchase of Arvida for $1.2b, and other current corporate actions involving Aveo, Keyton, and Bupa's unsuccessful efforts to date to find a buyer for its aged care operations in Australia and NZ.
My reaction would be surely that in any potential "deal" involving any RV operator a savvy buyer would evaluate the particular opportunity against other possible alternative actions, including a t/o of OCA, so that this ongoing activity in the market is positive for holders, especially if OCA is assessed as unloved/undervalued currently. NTA per share is much higher than the share price so there is potential to acquire greater underlying value. It's just a case of how you value the business and the available return. But surely OCA would be "in the frame" in these circumstances?
