be interesting how scales petfood is going
Scales aren't in branded petfood - they are an ingredients supplier. Primarily would be into the US and they have the JV or investment up there with Shelby.
Blackhawk use meal (from the stuff we have at home!!) - which isn't Scales' game. I would argue that if you use rendered meal, then you aren't really "premium".
The big changer for Scales for petfood would be China - as the regs are supposed to change soon to allow export of raw material for pet food manufacture to China. But double-edged sword with China.....African Swine Fever is a big tail wind for NZ red meat currently and huge exports to China and will be alot of bone-in product.
