every single year around 300 tons of GOLD gets used by industry to manufacture many high-end (and essential electronics). Gold isn't just for jewellery. It's a precious metals with important use cases whose value has survived millennia.

Nice rally we have seen recently as well.
If the US do curtail interest rates we should see more yet. Great for gold stocks.

Yes purchased my first pure GOLD play in awhile today WWI(RXM I've held for a few months has some great GOLD interest as well) ... heard back from the Chairman who I've had great communication with over the years sounding good and esp with the GOLD price looking primed to have another crack at at all time new highs

What do you see as the main upside for WWI?
The Australian asset or East Africa?
The Australian asset appears to be pretty low grade from first skim.

For me the west-wits gold project ...

I was very negative and sold out many months ago .. but with all the updates of late knowledge around the project I think WWI might just get the markets attention and if Gold plays its part and gets back over $2koz might well surprise to the upside ...

DFS update which with the price of GOLD and ZAR/USD rate and plans to start with 50koz toll production with upside of much higher ... I think a kick upwards could well be on the cards to least 4-6c range this year ... also the fact they will be mining very soon is a major positive market wise....

A question for the knowledgeable or those who like to get the bit between their teeth and run with it, if that is not a mixed metaphor, or even a metaphor, though it does have like in it but that's for similes. Anyway is the long term driver of the gold price in NZ dollars more likely to be the US dollar price (increasing), as I tend to assume, or the NZ dollar decreasing in value wrt the US dollar?
    Thanks in advance.

    Great discussion on this thread.

DISC been accumulating US Gold Royalty Companies through 2023.

    Co.s like:

    - Sandstorm
    - Royal Gold
    - Gold Royalty

worth a second look for investors who would enjoy a Quarterly Dividend.

Royal Gold div steadily increasing each quarter as the years roll by.
Sandstorm fairly new on the block but recommended by Rick Rule et al
Gold Royalty purchased new income stream but should reinstate div Q 1 2024.

AND at rock bottom prices look forward to Capital Gain through 2024 / 2025 as the wider market picks up the thesis of Gold and rerates miners as AU price rises to ATH.

I'd be keen to place a bet also that POG US$2500 in 2024 with $3000 2025.....

    Bet placed...! Cheers
