I think value add is such a small part of their business that they are totally reliant on the commodity price so perhaps they could benefit from this if the commodity price lifts. US$3k per tonne is a long way away right now, which is worrying as I haven't really heard anything from Fonterra who must get more nervous after every auction.

still forecasting dairy pay out with a 3 in it in the not to distant future and don't see any bounce coming soon in any commodity.
All the more reason to get those deals signed to Russia and iran

pay - out dropped to 3.90 probably still a little high don't know how long Fonterra can keep carring farmers with high payout and loans?

I don't usually follow dairy to closely, but I did find this interesting... would have been nice if they had partnered with Fonterra...

coiling up for attack on 6 dollar resistance I reckon, reducing debt levels later this yr will support higher divs demanded by farmers

Default ASX: MGC at 90 cents looks cheaper than FSF

MGC and FSF are similar in nature. MGC was priced at $2.10 at IPO, and has dropped more than 50% in less than a month. FSF has always been traded above its issue price of $5.5.

The class action pending against MG directors may have something to do with this.
