Interestingly no one got positive returns on all their selections. The final result would be interesting if we had selected our own weightings as we do in our own day to day investing.

Well done to the top four.

Thank you Jennym and wizAlvin running the comp.
I m very surprised and happy to win the comp.
I have been entering the comp in the past few years but never got close to top 10 except last year.
I missed out to pay the donation for prize money so wont take any of it.
My hubby will make me a certificate to celebrate this great achievement.
Congratulations to JB for your 2nd place and you are well deserved to take the prize money.
I have put the money in for this year's comp.
Thanks again for all your great contributions in this forum and I have been learning heaps since 2013.
Good luck for all your entries for this year's comp!!

    hoyinma,
Sorry to disagree with you,but my view is some of us put funds in just to make the competition more fun.
To win in such a difficult hard year I think you deserve the prize.

Right yes I didn't come across your name on 2018 donators list so just shows you how important it is to throw some money into the tin(But if everyone is cool with it I did originally state in the very first prize fund comp rules 2017 that we should still payout a smaller amount to a non-donator if they WIN ,,, so I'm thinking $50 would be a enough to shout a nice bottle of plonk or some treat of choice>>) so if you could holyinma PM your bank account..

So in turn I'm currently looking at where I can best use the funds from the top donator win .. am currently looking over "Give a little page"and will be donating a good part of it to someone badly in need of financal help

I do think we need to get a poll put up on 2019 ASX Comp payout rules to have like three or four different payout formats and all vote to see how it will payout for 2019 Comp ....

stay the same ...1st place 90% -Runner-up 10% of prize funds(If non-donator wins $50 the rest to the highest place donator)(jennym/Wiz free entry as running comp)

then maybe another format could be top 3 and wooden spoon get a percent cut of the prize fund etc..
