From your experience how will large amounts of the commercial and industrial facilities coming online next week affect pricing and demand levels?
Demand is likely to increase overall during the day, which will be good news for Genesis, as the national demand will be flatter overall. The actual peak demand in the evening probably wont be affected too much.
It will be very much a wait and see game as a lot of small commercial businesses possibly wont re-open yet. Those that do open tend to close around 5:00 pm or shortly after, and the decrease in demand there helps to offset the rapid increase in domestic demand between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.
It will be difficult for both Genesis and Contact to get their gas demand right for the first couple of days and I can see some frantic gas trading occurring, but the difference in revenue for a few days will be small compared to rest of the year.

Substantial Upgrade to Kupe Proven Reserves of, (by my calculations), just on 33% !
Net yield of just over 6% (gross of 7.6% inclusive of imputation credits) by my calculations.
Report date of 20/08/20.
Disc: Added a few more this morning for yield.

wow I am glad someone else worked that out.
I couldn't find it clearly in the BPT annual report today, though it could be there hiding beyond my understanding.
I bought some BPT a while back so this is good news for me too.
Looks like NZO lucked out selling their share to GNE.
Beach are conducting some compression exercise which will continue to extend production volumes from the field.
For clarity, nothing I say is advice....

I expect analysts will need to materially revise upwards the DCF value of Kupe's future earnings.

GNE paying out 106% of free cash flow... they are officially borrowing to pay dividends...?
https://www.nzx.com/announcements/358324
Really not sure how they will increase the dividend in FY21 either (with capital expenditure up on FY20... FY21 guidance also seems very optimistic)

no guidance on a 2021 dividend level either , unlike MCY mercury forecasting a increasing dividend in 2021
one step ahead of the herd

FY21 guidance |

EBITDAF guidance for the full year ended 30 June 2021 is in a range of |
between $395 million to $415 million. This is subject to hydrological |
conditions, any material events, one-off expenses or other unforeseen |
circumstances. Genesis continues to target its strategic goal of $400+ |
million EBITDAF in FY21. Capital expenditure guidance for FY21 is up to $95 |
million.
Come one bull..GNE yeild is around 6-7 persen!! the best in the class!! |

Based on today's numbers, GNE probably is the least attractive of all gentailers imo...
