Sold 73,000 for $6,119.20

$17,193 - $6,119 = $11,074

Therefore, 140,000 remaining shares cost $11,074 = 0.079 current cost base per share, but sharesight still states 0.081 cost base per share.

I believe that what it does is calculates the original cost per share, then uses that rather than the actual price the shares were sold at to calculate the new cost per share.

Anyone else noticed this?
I have not noticed it, but it is standard practice and is the correct way to approach the issue. The shares you purchased for 8.1 cents that you have left over still cost you 8.1 cents. The gain or loss (realised) is made on the sale of the 73,000 shares if using your example.
